UConn women's basketball player Chassion to transfer

Storrs — Freshman guard Autumn Chassion has decided to transfer from the UConn women's basketball program, head coach Geno Auriemma announced Monday.

"Autumn is a really bright person and has a great future ahead of her," Auriemma said. "We wish Autumn and her family the best as she continues her collegiate career."

As a walk-on for the Huskies, Chassion appeared in eight games and scored eight points in her freshman season.

"I would like to thank UConn for accepting me, taking me in and allowing me to play the game I love," Chassion said.
