Two people transported following accident on I-95 in New London
New London — Two people were transported to the hospital for injuries that were not life-threatening following a single-car accident on Interstate 95 south in the area of Briggs Street early Saturday evening, New London Fire Battalion Chief Jonathan Paige said.
Paige didn't know the nature or extent of the injuries but said it was nothing serious, that he's aware of. The accident occurred about 5:10 p.m.
Paige said it appeared the car was traveling on Frontage Road, struck the fence that goes along the road, and ended up on the I-95 portion of the highway.
He said two lanes were briefly closed, one on Frontage Road and one on I-95 south.
