Groton Utilities director out until Oct. 18 due to 'personnel matter'
Groton — Director of Groton Utilities Ron Gaudet is out of the office due to a "personnel matter," according to the city mayor.
Gaudet, of Old Lyme, will be out of the office through Oct. 15, returning on Oct. 18, according to City of Groton Mayor and Groton Utilities Commission Chairman Keith Hedrick.
“Mr. Gaudet’s absence is due to a personnel matter,” Hedrick said. “During his absence, acting director for administrative issues will be Sue Blanchette and acting director for operational issues will be Mark Biron.”
No further information was available Monday. The Day has filed a Freedom of Information request.
Gaudet, who had worked as director of utilities at the University of Connecticut and a senior utilities engineer at Pfizer Inc., became director of utilities at Groton Utilities in 2015, according to The Day's archives.
