Workers getting Ocean Beach waterslide ready ahead of opening day
New London — Jeff Mullen, owner of Action Amusements, has been working on his yearly repainting of the base, walls and stairs of the pool at the bottom of the triple waterslide at Ocean Beach Park.
Mullen said his staff members also have been working on resealing all the seams of the slides, on all the metal work taking care of any rust and repainting, and having one of the three water pumps rebuilt.
The waterslide will open on May 29 for Memorial Day weekend and close on Labor Day.
