Where the wind blows, the kiteboarders go
Westerly — Several kiteboarders — some from as far away as Massachusetts — were taking advantage of high winds and sunny skies Tuesday to get out on the water off of Napatree Point in the Watch Hill neighborhood.
Dan Houting of Canterbury, Conn., said he came out to kiteboard before going to work because of the good conditions and said he comes out anytime he can if the wind is blowing.
Similarly, Nick Charron of Groton said he came out because of the wind. He added that it's a great area for kiteboarding but once the tourist season begins, it will be tough to find parking.
