Norwich police to promote two veteran officers Friday
Norwich — Norwich police will hold a promotion ceremony Friday to swear in a lieutenant and a sergeant.
At the ceremony at 3 p.m. at Norwich City Hall, 100 Broadway, Sgt. Christopher Callaway will be promoted to lieutenant, and Detective Ryan Kelsey will be sworn in as sergeant.
Callaway is currently in charge of training and selections and has been a Norwich police officer since 1999. Kelsey currently is assigned to the Detective Division and has been a member of the department since 2000.
The ceremony is open to the public.
