Some showers in the immediate forecast for the region, but sunny days ahead
After a rainy and cool Saturday, Sunday and Monday also could see showers. However, the weather is expected to be a bit warmer.
Highs are forecast to be in the mid- to high 40s both days, according to the Meteorological Studies and Weather Center at Western Connecticut State University. Temperatures are expected to drop briefly after that but early next week is forecast to see plenty of sun. However, the days also will be breezy.
