Prepping for winter in Norwich

Norwich — Volunteers helped students at the Stanton Network School get free winter coats Wednesday from local clothing company Ivory Ella, courtesy of Operation Warm.

Operation Warm is a national nonprofit dedicated to providing new winter coats to children in need. At Stanton, 97 percent of students get free or reduced-price lunch, putting them on the top of the Operation Warm list for the event.

Ivory Ella is a Mystic-based company that raises funds for elephant conservation and other causes.
