Learning the bus-iness of government
East Lyme — Seventh-graders from East Lyme Middle School on Tuesday toured the C-SPAN "50 Capitals Tour" bus, a 45-foot motor coach that has been touring state capitals for the last 14 months and will wrap up the tour this month with the five New England capitals and Albany, N.Y.
The interactive exhibits on the bus give students a chance to learn about C-SPAN's programming and how government works. The bus will be in Hartford on Wednesday doing a live call-in show with Secretary of the State Denise Merrill.
