Like Independent Party, voters should abandon Somers for Statchen
The Independent Party of Connecticut has endorsed Bob Statchen, Democratic candidate for Connecticut Senate in the 18th District, over Republican Sen. Heather Somers.
Although Somers has received their endorsement in the past, she was not chosen this year. Perhaps the “Independent Party” does not like the fact that she is not at all independent. She toes the GOP line, voting against the minimum wage increases, against family leave, against police reforms. The ultimate example of this is her silence on the subject of President Donald Trump.
I support Bob Statchen for Senate. His campaign is taking off because the people of Connecticut can see that he shares our values and is not afraid to speak out.
