Paul Choiniere is the editorial page editor of The Day. Before taking that position in May 2007, Paul covered a wide variety of topics for The Day during a 20-year reporting career, including municipal government, the nuclear industry, health, the environment, regional development issues and politics.
Paul grew up in Providence and is a 1979 graduate of the University of Rhode Island. A member of the American Society Of News Editors, Paul has won numerous reporting and opinion writing awards, including being recognized by the Connecticut Society of Professional Journalists with its First Amendment Award.
He lives in Griswold with his wife, Kathy. They have three adult sons.
